InterSKY offers a complete range of remote gateways for delivering high-quality two-way IP satellite broadband services. These remote gateways combine VSAT and IP devices, with separate inbound and outbound connections to the InterSKY hub. Outbound connectivity can be supported by DVB-S and DVB-S2 (in S2 models).

InterSKY remote gateways provide satellite broadband connectivity for virtually all IP applications supported in terrestrial networks:

• Separate inbound and outbound settings per terminal for Committed Information Rate (CIR), Minimum Information Rate (MIR) and Peak Information Rate (PIR) and Priority Level.

Shiron’s InterSKY remote gateways support advanced IP routing features, such as VLAN Tagging for interconnection to MPLS networks and traffic separation. They also feature an embedded IP Acceleration to enhance browsing and TCP application speed. In parallel, the gateways’ acceleration applies multiple data compression techniques to substantially reduce the bandwidth requirements of IP traffic over satellite.
